A major problem in Akagera Park are the poachers. The whole park is fenced, still the poachers are trying to kill the animals, e.g. to sale the Ivory.

They are also looking for special trees from which perfume is manufactured in Tanzania.

The park ranger drive day and night to provide patrol to find and arrest these poachers.

At night, they go with specially trained and highly aggressive dogs control. The poachers often come by boat from Tanzania or with bicycles from the surrounding villages. As before, this is a big problem for the park, also, because again in December 20 rhinos are to be settled.

Ein großes Problem im Akagera Park sind die Wilderer. Der ganze Park ist eingezäunt und trotzdem versuchen die Wilderer die Tiere zu töten um z.B. Elfenbein zu verkaufen. Sie suchen auch spezielle Bäume aus denen in Tansania Parfüm hergestellt wird.

Die Parkwächter fahren tags und nachts Patrouille um diese Wilderer zu stellen. Nachts gehen sie mit speziell ausgebildeten und sehr aggressiven Hunden Kontrolle. Die Wilderer kommen oft mit Booten aus Tansania oder mit Fahrrädern aus den umliegenden Dörfern. Nach wie vor ist dies ein großes Problem für den Park, auch, weil im Dezember wieder 20 Nashörner angesiedelt werden sollen.

Un problema importante en Akagera Parque son los cazadores furtivos. Todo el parque está vallado, aun así los cazadores furtivos tratan de matar a los animales por ejemplo para vender el Marfil.

Ellos también están buscando árboles especiales a partir de lo cual se fabrica perfume en Tanzania.

Día y noche Park Ranger hacen patrulla para encontrar y detener a estos cazadores furtivos. Por la noche, se van de control con perros especialmente entrenados y altamente agresivos. Los cazadores furtivos a menudo vienen en barco desde Tanzania o con las bicicletas de los pueblos de alrededores.
