Wedding – Hochzeit - Matrimonio

During our tour of a village we were eyewitnesses of a wedding. Our guide invited us to participate at a wedding.

It was the second day of the wedding event. On this day, the bride was officially handed over to her husband and his family.

Almost the whole village participated at the wedding. There were also three priests, an entertainer, musicians and choirs invited.

The guests were entertained with singing, until the bride was brought by her bridesmaids to the meeting place.

Then the gifts the bride family were shown to all the guests. After several speeches the pastor declared the two married. After further singing the gifts of the groom family were brought in: sofas, a mattress, a suitcase and a goat.

Now all the guests were invited to give their gifts to the bride. in a long queue, the people stood with their gifts: partly envelopes with money or pots, oil, flour etc.

Also, we were asked to give a present to the bride and Marcel had to hold a little speech.

The festivities lasted very late this evening.

Bei einem Rundgang durch ein Dorf wurden wir Augenzeugen einer Hochzeit. Unsere Führerin lud uns ein an der Hochzeit teilzunehmen.

Es war der zweite Tag der Hochzeitsveranstaltung. An diesem Tag wurde die Braut offiziell an ihren Ehemann und seine Familie übergeben.

An der Hochzeit nahm fast das ganze Dorf teil. Es waren ebenfalls drei Pfarrer, ein Unterhalter, Musiker und ein Chor eingeladen.

Die Zuschauer wurden mit Gesang unterhalten, bis die Braut von ihren Brautjungfern zum Versammlungsplatz gebracht wurde.

Danach wurden die Geschenke der Braut Familie allen Anwesenden gezeigt. Nach einigen Reden erklärte der Pfarrer die beiden für verheiratet. Nach weiterem Gesang wurden die Geschenke der Familie des Bräutigams gebracht: eine Sofagarnitur, eine Matratze, ein Koffer und eine Ziege.

Nun wurden alle Anwesenden aufgefordert ihre Geschenke der Braut zu übergeben, in einer langen Schlange standen die Leute mit ihren Geschenken: zum Teil Briefumschläge mit Geld oder auch Töpfe, Öl, Mehl etc.

Auch wir wurden aufgefordert der Braut ein Geschenk zu überreichen und Marcel musste eine kleine Rede halten.

Die Feierlichkeiten dauerten noch den ganzen Abend.

Durante nuestro recorrido por un pueblo fuimos testigos de una boda. Nuestro guía nos invitó a participar en una boda. Fue el segundo día de la boda. Durante este día, la novia fue entregado oficialmente a su marido y su familia.

Casi todo el pueblo participó en la boda. También había tres sacerdotes, un artista, músicos y coros invitados.

Los invitados fueron entretenidos con canciones, hasta que la novia fue traído por sus damas de honor al lugar de reunión.

A continuación, se mostró a todos los invitados, los regalos de la familia de la novia.

Después de varios discursos el pastor declaró  los dos marido y mujer.

Después de otras canciones, enseñaron los regalos de la familia del marido: sofás, un colchón, una maleta y una cabra.

Ahora todos los invitados se pusieron en una larga cola para entregar sus regalos a lo novia: parcialmente sobres con dinero o macetas, aceite, harina, etc.

Asimismo nos pidieron hacer un regalo a la novia y Marcel tenía que hacer un pequeño discurso.

Los festejos duraron hasta muy tarde.
